This doesn’t make sense

“LAPD injured Phillips by holding two places of cover, and prevented an easy getaway.” This makes no sense. Can anybody figure out what it is supposed to mean and edit it accordingly?

In the military you have two types of positions - cover & concealment. Concealment hides your position or location but does not not necessarily mean you are provided cover. Cover provides protection and may offer concealment but not necessarily both. In this instance - the officers were able to maneuver to two positions of cover (protection) and fix the target and prevent his egress from that direction. That statement makes sense to people familiar with the terms but can be confusing to those that aren't. TurboManiacal (talk) 18:55, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
Should this be linked so people can easily find out what these means?

“Filled a jam jar with gasoline and semen”

… what? That must be a troll? Second paragraph of the Events of the February 28th section.

No source here either and I would think that’s a pretty substantive thing (even without the semen part?) to want a source on. InspectorRage (talk) 16:10, 18 May 2022 (UTC)

Where... did the entire page go?

Here it was on July 3, and then on July 6, Guccizbud just deleted the vast majority of the informative content about the actual shootout.

Is this intentional? Pabst blue ribbon led zeppelin (talk) 20:36, 21 July 2022 (UTC)

Let's try pinging @GuccizBud: William Avery (talk) 21:07, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
@William Avery I sent this to @Pabst blue ribbon led zeppelin as well.
At the moment I have no idea what happened, but I see that part 23,000 bytes were removed. That's 4,000 to 5,000 words, and I can assure you I never had any intention of removing anything like that. I can only assume it's an unintentional editing screwup, but I don't know for certain. If you're certain I didn't simply move the material from one section to another—if you're certain it's outright gone—please revert my edit and I'll try to figure out what happened later. And if I really did simply wipe out a chunk like that, my apologies. GuccizBud (talk) 21:18, 21 July 2022 (UTC)

I noticed a huge portion of the page was missing so I came here to see why (mistaken deletion). It's an easy enough fix by doing a copy-paste of the entire sections that were deleted so I've done that. If someone could double-check my work we'd all appreciate it. Emil Mătăsăreanu

No sympathy for Emil Mătăsăreanu -- he's in hell where he belongs. But these cops should have taken head shots. That would have saved the LAPD and several officers named from the bother and expenses of the frivolous lawsuit filed by ambulance chasing radical Yagman (later joined by Brian Lysaght). When a dangerous suspect is wearing body armor, as Mătăsăreanu was, then you take the head shot(s). He was hit once (out of 29 times) in the eye socket, so the head was where they all should have aimed, not at areas covered by body armor or the legs. That is my opinion which I feel compelled to express. MurrayGreshler (talk) 22:38, 22 October 2022 (UTC)

I know but I was watching a re-enactment on TV and was so angered that I felt the need to vent, as I mentioned on the last line of my comment. Please feel free to delete. Cheers. MurrayGreshler (talk) 01:59, 23 October 2022 (UTC)

Bank place of robbery

I went to the LA police Museum and they said it was a Bank of America they tried to rob not first bank 47.205.82.159 (talk) 04:14, 11 February 2023 (UTC)

Firearms

The "Type 56" is an SKS model made by Norinco. It is not an AK-47" varient. The SKS and AK-47 had different designers. Yes, both were designed by Russians and then licenced to Norinco, but they are different rifle types. 71.56.4.48 (talk) 19:48, 29 August 2022 (UTC)

@71.56.4.48 the type 56 is a licensed AK variant: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_56_assault_rifle 85.191.203.201 (talk) 23:38, 15 February 2023 (UTC)

Sorry, my mistake. disregard
