Lack of citations[edit]

A number of assertions are made that the Geography Bee organized by this Foundation is superior and more highly respected to the one organized by the National Geographic Society, even though the latter is longer-established and better known. Article restarted as a stub[edit]

I have cleared out the version of the article that had developed over the years, as it was based only on primary sources and promotional materials. The content itself was promotional and overly detailed, with clear signs of undisclosed paid editing. I scanned 2-3 pages of google results for independent sources and found one that was usable. As such, I have restarted the article using that source; it suggests the topic itself may be notable, after all. WP:PAID and WP:COI editors, please disclose the nature of your relationship with the subject as instructed, and make edit requests, supported by independent, reliable sources, instead of directly editing the article.
