How is this a distinct article from either Greater Cleveland or Connecticut Western Reserve? The former is a well-defined region (i.e. the Cleveland-Akron-Lorain CMSA as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau) that encompasses much of what might be considered Northeast Ohio. The latter is also a well-defined region (per township surveys) that likewise encompasses much of what might be considered Northeast Ohio. While it's true that the two are not co-extensive (Canton is Greater Cleveland but not Western Reserve; Youngstown is Western Reserve but not Greater Cleveland), there's very little in Northeast Ohio that would not be in one or the other. -- SwissCelt 16:35, 30 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

This page used to redirect to Greater Cleveland, but the redirect was recently removed and the article started. See the current discussion at Talk:Greater Cleveland for details. - EurekaLott 16:51, 30 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It's two months later, and there's still virtually no content on this page. If more isn't added soon, it would probably be a good idea to merge this back into the Greater Cleveland article. - EurekaLott 20:49, 28 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

February 2012 Update

[edit]

Per a discussion here between several members of Wikiproject Cleveland, it was deemed necessary to re-assess the distinctions between the Greater Cleveland area and the NE Ohio region, as the two are (in the Cleveland area) erroneously conflated. This is a works in progress, so please be patient. Ryecatcher773 (talk) 15:02, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
