Merging[edit]

As this "offensive" has lasted only 5 days apparently, I believe this page should remain on its own until the SAA launch a full ground assault in the Northern Homs rebel pocket, then we can merge the info of this page with the larger one. Thelovelyconch (talk) 02:46, 25 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

There is no other recent article on the subject though. The last one was Battle of Rastan (May 2012), which covers a battle almost 6 years ago, way too long ago for it to be merged there. Editor abcdef (talk) 07:33, 25 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Evacuation deal is not an offensive![edit]

I don't see why an editor here changed the title of this article that was about April offensive and changed the infobox because of something that should only be added in the aftermath, we all know that the offensive was only in April and it has nothing to do with the Russian mediated negotiations that resulted in the evacuation deal so please stop this act of changing old articles. if you want you can create an article about the evacuation deal or keep it in the aftermath but it has nothing to do with infobox of this April offensive, I respect all fellow Wikipedia editors and hope that their edits are based on relevant information rather than a biased opinion. 3bdulelah (talk) 16:38, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No one said the offensive and the evacuation are the same things. In fact, I specifically separated them in both the infobox dates and the article. It makes no sense to delete info regarding the evacuation in this article as it was previously discussed that they should be merged. Editor abcdef (talk) 01:22, 27 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Then the result can't be "Victory" because it was a deal and the offensive result (April) was that the rebels successfully defended their areas, and as u mentioned there was no offensive in may so the title is totally misleading and so is the infobox that you changed after more than a month. 3bdulelah (talk) 20:07, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Also there are reports of a possible US withdrawal from al-Tanf base, I don't expect you to open a page calling it Tanf offensive and add a battle infobox calling it a SAA victory!
