Cost[edit]

The service is not necessarily going to be charged $60 per year starting Jan. 1. [1] explains the plans for pricing the product. Jason1771 (talk) 16:37, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jason1771, mind if I call you Jason? Thanks for creating this article. I saw that you done some great work, and I expanded on it. As for the forum post, I'm sorry to break it to you, however forums are generally not considered reliable sources. See WP:RS. Unless the poster is an expert in the field he has posted on, then no, that source cannot be accepted. We'll see how the pricing plays out and incorporate it in the article once it has generated coverage by reliable third-party sources. Thanks for your understanding. The product manager for this product isn't an expert in the field? I understand that forums are not necessarily a reliable source, but if you you examine the source you quoted, the article doesn't say explicitly that $60 will be charged after Jan 1st, it says that the product will be offered free until Jan 1st, and it is a 60$ value. Its pulling at straws I know, but in my opinion (I understand if you disagree), but I think these sources together should make the point. Maybe I'm making too big a deal over this, but I think that when the reliable source isn't completely clear, and a reasonably reliable source clarifies, we should get it right and simply state what is clear that it will be offered free until Jan 1st. I have reworded the section to make clear the service is valued at 60 bucks, however plans to sell it at 60 bucks have not been decided on. TechOutsider (talkcontribs) 20:43, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
