I can understand removing the gallery but it's very important for us to differentiate between black beech and mountain beech - so both should be represented. --Grapeman4 (talk) 08:06, 26 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think the best idea is probably to split this article into two separate ones, like Eriogonum longifolium does. Like you say there is a big difference between the 2 variants of solandri. If you think it's a good idea I'll move this page to Nothofagus solandri var. solandri and and a new page can be created for Nothofagus solandri var. cliffortioides with cut and pasted info. I've now separated this article into the two seperate varieties. Rudolph89talk 08:02, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome work. Yeah I think this works much better. I'm just gonna update the Mountain Beech pic to a single tree to match the look of the black beech one. Thanks!--Grapeman4 (talk) 09:27, 25 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Move to Fuscospora solandri

[edit]

The species Nothofagus solandri var. solandri (Hook.f.) Poole has been moved to the new species Fuscospora solandri[1][2]

Should this page be moved and a redirect from this page be created?Its-mrb (talk) 10:43, 31 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Update - change of botanical name completed, as well as some other light editing (including synonyms listed in the infobox)Its-mrb (talk) 06:33, 10 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
