THERE IS NO INHIBITORY EFFECT OF SEROTONIN

[edit]

Serotonin binds to a cascade using cyclic AMP to activate kinase C and phosphorolate potassium channels so they are slower. The slower escape of K makes the depolarization last longer, and more vesicles are released during the action potential to send a stronger signal. A signal that overcomes the inhibition on the next neuron.
