What about male actors? Rhinoracer 14:26, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Are no-nudity clauses signed between actor and the film or television production studio or other entities? NorthernThunder 10:54, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

List of Notable Male Actors with "No Nudity Clauses"

[edit]

Rename suggestion

[edit]

I think the article should be renamed "nudity clause" because these clauses deal with various aspects of nudity, and not merely "no-nudity". Ewawer (talk) 08:25, 13 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Other aspects

[edit]

There are some additional aspects that should be discussed. For example, actress La La Anthony has been quoted in multiple media sources as saying the TV series Power has a nudity clause that most (all?) actors on the show must sign as apparently any character may be called upon to do a nude or sex scene. (see here)

Also, what about "sex scene clauses"? Are there such things? It's one thing for an actress to go topless for a shower scene or something, but given the increasing explicitness of film and television sex scenes in the last few years, with some shows now having actors and actresses doing things on Netflix and HBO that (and I say this without exaggeration as it can easily be verified) 10 years ago were only done in porn videos, there must be something regarding this. An actress who was sued after backing out of filming an episode of the softcore series Femme Fatales last year (and lost) apparently had a "nudity rider" on her contract that did specify she'd be required to do simulated sex acts on camera (see [1]).

Something that might be worth noting is that the SAG-AFTRA basic agreement Section 43 (located on page 121 of the huge PDF available here) covers nudity and, notably and contradicting those who claim there are rules against it, seems to not prohibit the level of sexual activity that can be filmed, indeed it simply uses the term "sex acts" which can cover anything up to and including hardcore.

The only reason I'm not following WP:BOLD and adding this info myself is a) as an IP I tend to get my edits reverted and b) I don't pretend to be an expert on the subject so hopefully someone with better resources can pick this up. 68.146.52.234 (talk) 04:10, 11 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
