Improving article quality

I would (...) like to ask expert advice on what to improve on the Nutbush, Tennessee article to bring it to Good Article(GA)-class. Every suggestion is welcome. Thank you! doxTxob \ talk 20:29, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The only thing I can see with a quick look is the need for some grammatical adjustments, (...) on Nutbush, Tennessee. The sources appear in order, though. With some fact-checking and maybe a little more literal fluffing (surely there's something we can add to the town's economic section - cotton production figures, the name of the cotton plant, etc.?), I think Nutbush, Tennessee can stand the GA test. I'll be happy to help if required - the wife and I specialize in sentence structuring (though it may not seem like it sometimes!). We'll look over it a little further tonight. Thank you for your opinion. I would be happy for someone to look over the grammar. Actually German is my first language, Enlish only second, although I do not think I am too bad at it, some native speaker polishing would be greatly appreciated.

photographs

[edit]

It's good to see the photographs, especially the road sign shot which shows the cotton at harvest time: growing in the field, and the usual bolls scattered on the side of the road. Do you have a better one than the one currently labeled "Cotton gin in Nutbush, Haywood County (2004)"? At present, there's a view of a small part of the building and mostly the yard. Source of Name?

[edit]

How did this place get it's unique name? 138.162.128.55 (talk) 13:18, 8 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I would also like to know, which is how I arrived at this article. Also, there is at least one other Nutbush in Tennessee. There is an older neighborhood in east Memphis, Shelby County, probably not as old as the Haywood Nutbush. I think a Disambiguation page is in order but I do not know how to create one, or how to correctly link the pages. Is it necessary for the neighborhood to have an article, before the disambiguation page is created?

I hope I did that correctly. You may respond here, or on my talk page. Thank you. Rags (talk) 19:31, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

As for how the place got its name, ask on WP:REFDESK. As for disambiguation pages, if it's the primary topic, then there only needs to be one article it links to (which can be this one). Otherwise, there need to be at least two articles already created. Jackmcbarn (talk) 19:36, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
