corporation page

[edit]

just wondering what's up with the Nutri Ventures Corporation wiki article? here, it says the page doesn't exist. but if i do a general search for Nutri Ventures, it pops up as being on WP--but clicking that link shows this page (indicating that the article was deleted): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nutri_Ventures_Corporation

but then i can't find any info on WHY it was deleted. if i click "check the deletion log" on the above page, i get the Deletion log search option, and no search brings up anything. the article was deleted by RoySmith, who is an admin (i guess--well, it says it on his page, and he's on the list of admins, so i guess so). but i find it strange that there's no reason given anywhere for why the page was deleted.

i understand the article could have been too "advertise-y" but there's a lot of articles on corporations and businesses on WP, and it seems for most of them, "advertise-y" stuff is simply removed, rather than entire articles deleted without (apparently) any reason.

i don't really care. i was just looking up Nutri Ventures, the show, so i could let the people know what it is (i make them a paper "tv guide"). i was trying to figure out if the show (on their ion channel) was actually children's show, or it was, basically, just an advertisement. i still don't know. i was going to check the corporation's article for more info. the actual site for the corporation seems to...claim that's a group put together by private and corporate interests to "promote healthy eating by kids." (not a direct quote; paraphrase.) AND YET, they declare:

More than 100 products licensed in the series’ first year of airing.
More than 20 licensees among Portugal, USA and Brazil, in the series’ first year of airing.
In the countries where launched, Nutri Ventures DVDs have been consistently on the Novelties Top 10 of Sales!
The Movie Books, the Activity Books and the Sticker Album are best sellers in Portugal.
Nutri Venture’s food products have increased the licensees sales up to 30%.

and

More than 300 thousand children signed up to the Magical World of NV (games website), just in the first 12 months.
More than 8 million views on YouTube NV channels, just in the first 12 months.
More than 400 thousand viewing hours by children on YouTube NV channels, just in the first 12 months.

those ARE direct quotes from the corporate website. in one sense, they could be frightening. especially without knowing WHO or WHAT, exactly, is behind it.

anyway, i looked at the History for this article, and noticed several edits that were "removed from the public archives" and also several edits by someone who was repeatedly warned about their editing o various articles (the user seemed to have a focus on articles about children's programming). it just all seems pretty strange.Colbey84 (talk) 02:47, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

EDIT - i found a discussion page on the deletion. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Nutri_Ventures_Corporation

i honestly don't know how i got there, because, as i said above, when i would search for something in the Deletion log, nothing would come up. but i have several (read: lots) of tabs open, and i've been looking around, at users' Talk pages and more, so somewhere, i clicked on something that opened up that deletion discussion in yet another new tab (that i just noticed when i was closing tabs one at a time). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Colbey84 (talkcontribs) 02:54, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism about the show

[edit]

Some joker just vandalized the article claiming that it ripped off Indiana Jones and the Powerpuff Girls without any proof and the devlopers had done with the show. SpinnerLaserzthe2nd (talk) 01:35, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Voice cast

[edit]

I didn't check the credits to see what dubbing studio it was, but seemingly an obscure one. While Jason Marsden wasn't in the show (among other things, like the more recognizable voices in a fake cast some rando added once), the names I've added on the page aren't exactly well-known, it seems. I didn't link them in case they didn't have any pages, but figured mentioning this would suffice. WannurSyafiqah74 (talk) 06:11, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Obviously fake. Why would Tom Kenny and Sam Riegel voice the same character? Furthermore, why the hell are there so many voice actors? The credits show more obscure names, meaning it's not a typical dubbing studio. --WannurSyafiqah74 (talk) 07:12, 20 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Side note: SPA has also made Draft:List of Tom and Jerry voice actors and Draft:Nutri Ventures (2023 TV series). So yeah, definitely a hoax editor. WannurSyafiqah74 (talk) 08:00, 20 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
