Disagree

[edit]

I disagree with this list, there are some important characters that have appeared in other games like Lilith and B. B. Hood and does not include others secundaries like Sasquatch, Rikuo, Lord Raptor, J. Talbain, etc —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.137.42.43 (talk) 09:44, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

They're being sorted out, but in the end most will land up merged here. So far Morrigan, Felicia and Sasquatch seem to have some longevity.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 20:05, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What exactly makes Sasquatch special enough to get his own article if Talbain, Lilith, Raptor, Jedah and various others don't get to have their own when they're FAR more notable and important characters?

Missing

[edit]

What idiot wrote this page? Several charachters are missing. Please die now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.6.40.2 (talk) 09:31, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merge

[edit]

Why the hell did they merge the separate character pages into one info-deprived craptastic page?

Lately a bunch of deletionists think characters don't deserve their own articles so they've been merging half-assed biographies into list pages. Tyciol (talk) 07:59, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

[edit]

this page needs to cite sources. While alot is taken from the official manuals and the book "Darkstalkers Graphic file", just as much more mentioned has no official source and appears to be either conjecture or out right fan fiction. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.133.116.79 (talk) 06:44, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Vampire Hunter D

[edit]

He was obviously an inspiration, and this was listed previously. Why was the reference removed during the move? Tyciol (talk) 07:59, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Should I go for a Hsien-Ko article?

[edit]

I feel like I can do it. --Niemti (talk) 21:53, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not so sure about Demitri though. --Niemti (talk) 21:55, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup

[edit]

I've begun the arduous task of cleaning up the character bios and the expurgating of in-universe material (most of which was ripped off from Fighters' Generation and StrategyWiki) after three years of the template being ignored. Therefore, please do not revert this back to the previous format as this is an ongoing work in progress. Any out-of-universe info (reception, etc.) will be added over time when found. sixtynine • spill it • 03:42, 30 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I've finally finished the hard part of revising all the character bios (which included three straight days of losing my edits due to computer problems). This is my first time anywhere near the Darkstalkers series in nearly fifteen years and so this often felt like a school assignment. I didn't even know any of their storylines so I had to look all those up, and even watched the anime and endured the godawful cartoon series (argh) in the name of research, along the way posting multiple mistakes that were later removed, hence the high edit count. Anyway, all the junk has been thrown out, and now I'll focus on finding/adding sources and figuring out some way to expand the intro in between making ongoing minor edits. Bye. sixtynine • spill it • 01:50, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Do you think Lilith should be split or merged with Morrigan? --Niemti (talk) 12:00, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to say "no" on both counts. Lilith's popularity is pretty much owed to her being a Xerox copy of Morrigan, and she has little backstory to speak of (being a latecomer to the series will do that). A search turned up virtually nothing noteworthy aside from the requisite character walkthroughs and cosplay features. Lilith's already barely mentioned in the Morrigan article itself and technically they're not even related, so merging her therein wouldn't make a ton of sense; it's not like merging, say, Mei-Ling with Hsien-Ko. Therefore, she's probably better off still slumming it here with the rest of the cast. sixtynine • spill it • 01:51, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
technically they're not even related - Lilith is a split part of Morrigan, that now is merged back with her - they couldn't possibly be more related. See also: Unknown (Tekken), Tiger Jackson, etc. --Niemti (talk) 07:47, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, you can chalk that one up to my ignorance. I didn't know that they had ever merged into a single entity, even during the research process. Then again, I'm the same idiot who once mistook Donovan for Demitri on the Vampire Hunter poster art. sixtynine • spill it • 02:19, 12 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Considering Nightmare is treated as a separate character (with ironically no Siegfried article at all) Lilith should probably be too. --Niemti (talk) 08:17, 12 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
