Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it is part of a series of larger student protests going on nationwide and it is the first series of student protests to occur at Texas State University since the Vietnam era. The article will include more sources, video and news clips as well as a details on the history of student activism at the university and the university's historical role in creating "free speech zones" which are common on universities nationwide due to a court case in the 1970's (the last decade when student protests occurred on this campus). This issue is of long term historical significance to Texas State University, those who study or will study the national Occupy Movement. Wikipedia has done well to have pages detailing the Occupy Wall Street movement as well as occupied inspired movements such as "Occupy Austin". Thank you for your time and consideration.
