Wikisource is necessary

[edit]

I support wikisourcing this article. However, may I be inclined to know what is the copyright status of this article? This may clear up a few items in this mysterious fog.

Deletion Necessary? Wikisource instead?

Isn't Kafka's work Public Domain? Rather, send it to Wikisource. Avi 02:05, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

However is this translation public domain? Please verify the source of this translation in order to be sure it is not under copyright before moving to wikisource.--Birgitte§β ʈ Talk 00:33, 27 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This is the Willa and Edwin Muir translation of the story; I don't really know why this appears under the name of the creature rather than the name of the story, which has its own article. Anyway, this translation is NOT public domain and should therefore be deleted. I suggest redirecting Odradek to The Cares of a Family Man. AshcroftIleum 08:34, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed - the fact that the translation isn't public domain should mean the article is deleted and the link redirected. Autarch 19:20, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Now that there's more material on this page, I suggest merging it with the story's page, which details the publishing history AshcroftIleum (talk) 20:08, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
