Greek writers...

[edit]

Ancient Greek writers stated that Oenotrians arrived there at the beginning of the Iron Age (11th century BC) from Greece through the Strait of Otranto together with other people of the same ethnic group. According to some interpretations these would be the legendary Pelasgians.

I removed that statement since they rely on some "Ancient Greek writers" without identifying them. I'm pretty sure no ancient greek author ever employed the term "Iron Age". The other part of that claim also does not sound like some ancient greek author. The second sentence relies on a single book of 1873. That's not "some interpretation"that's one interpretation and a rather flimsy one at that. Kleuske (talk) 12:08, 14 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
