Ive updated the page a bit and will probably do so a bit more in the next few days. Added a bit more information regarding usage of the term "off topic," and some new external links.

Perhaps you can add an Off Topic link to the opposit of On Topic :) Anker99 01:51, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article is back-to-front.

[edit]

People don't write "on topic" posts, they write posts, which may be "off topic" or not. ie: on-topic is defined only as an opposite of off topic. Off topic posts are marked as OT, whilst On-topic posts are not marked. If there are no objections, I will convert it across in a week or so. --BP 10:41, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OT ban policies

[edit]

I could not quickly come up with any references for the paragraph I added about OT ban policies. Any experience list manager could could tell one this but a survey would need to be done (and probably has been) but I have not found it... The article should / does cover both on-topic and off topic. I did not even notice that my seach to off-topic was redirected to on-topic. Artcile naming policies may dictate... Consistency

[edit]

Why is the title "Off topic" while the content text uses "off-topic" ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.82.9.156 (talk) 06:47, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Move request to "Off-topic"

[edit]

Shouldn't this page be called off-topic if every mention of the term uses the hyphen?--Adûnâi (talk) 01:32, 21 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
