Fair use rationale for Image:Yellow Room.jpg
[edit]Image:Yellow Room.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Why?
[edit]Why isn't Roger Waters credited for playing guitar when Gilmour was credited for bass... Roger did play guitar for a few Floyd songs, for example David played bass on Sheep and Roger played guitar on that song... Pigs On The Wing was played by Waters... I believe Water's played guitar a lot on the Album Animals... I think he should be credited for guitar too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.174.135.188 (talk) 05:56, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Um, when did Roger play a fucking tuba?
- Tuba, or not tuba, that is the question. Tuba has been included since the article was created a year ago. Is it in the original album credits? Any article should state what the official credits say, and if we want to elaborate, it should be clear that said elaboration is something we've added, and is not part of the original credits. Citations would be nice, too. So many credits in these articles, Pink Floyd's in particular, are composed of fan POV without saying so. That half-answers the question about guitar credits as well. One more thing: please don't say "fucking". It's not polite. Unless you're posting on a talk page connected to an article that's actually about fucking, or has pictures of people fucking. Also, typing out the word "fucking" might get you so excited that you forget to sign your posts. --A Knight Who Says Ni (talk) 21:01, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Mono Piper?
[edit]I see the cover and label of Piper At The Gates Of Dawn bear the number of the Columbia mono issue; does the actual disc contain the mono mix? BTLizard (talk) 11:27, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
- I doubt it. Where do you see this? It's not in the article. --A Knight Who Says Ni (talk) 09:52, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- I saw a jpeg of the artwork and label somewhere. I think you're right, though; I think the music itself is the stereo mix. BTLizard (talk) 11:36, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
Syd's silhouette?
[edit]I'm sure this hasn't been written anywhere in particular, but considering the material and his role in the early days of Pink Floyd, would it be unsafe to assume that the silhouetted man in the middle on both the font and back covers of the box is Syd Barrett? --The Dopefish (talk) 03:13, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
- An earlier version of this page had this statement: "there is a man standing in silhouette in a doorway in the distance; he might represent Syd Barrett, or the mythical 'Pink'". The suggestion of two possibilities demonstrated that either theory is just conjecture, and it was removed as unencyclopedic. And that reminds me, the picture of the back cover is against fair use rules, and should be removed. It was probably presumed acceptable because it was mentioned within the article, but even if this text were to be restored, it would still be a fair use violation. --A Knight Who Says Ni (talk) 10:58, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
Extra track on The Final Cut?
[edit]Isn't there an extra (#4) track on the album The Final Cut in the Oh, by the Way-box set? I believe it is called When the Tigers Broke Free. If that is the case, shouldn't it be included in the track listing? Or does it only appear in the digital downloadable version (if there is such a special version)?
