comment[edit]

I object to the existance of this article. We already have 5 articles (currently all stubs) for OVA. All are linked/listed at List of Oh My Goddess episodesList of Oh My Goddess episodes --Cool CatTalk|@ 23:57, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, you list elsewhere you object due to a lack of an article for the TV series. Ultimately I intended to do this one and possibly expand the movie article, then expand the Mini-Goddess article (which is very lacking currently), before finally making one for the TV series and, one day, manga --- I can only write one article at a time. Secondly, I fail to see why an article about the OVA in general would not be useful. To use another Wikipedia source as an example, Doctor Who has a central page (much like our Oh My Goddess! one), followed by one for each Doctor (eg Ninth Doctor) where the plots covered in that section of the story are covered. There is also a List of Doctor Who serials, which links to individual plots (eg Destiny of the Daleks), much like our List of Oh My Goddess episodes and individual episode outlines. They are each serving similar, but different purposes.
To put it into context, Oh My Goddess! should cover what is true in all canons, link off into pages for each canon, where topics general to the canon are investigated. There is still a place for lists of episodes, and in-depth story analysis of each episode there. This page is not for that: I will not be discussing the significance of a line Keiichi said in episode three, only what is significant about the series as a whole. I am currently writing an overview of the plot, and would like to discuss the impact of this OVA in future: topics which do not belong on individual episode pages. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Elric of Grans (talkcontribs)
Yes but there really isn't much about the ovas. Aside from plot details I mean. I want to keep Oh My Goddess! unified, it almost became a stub :( --Cool CatTalk|@ 00:29, 7 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
The reason why articles such as Destiny of the Daleks exist is because of a long sub-dalek plot broken into several episodes. We have something like that for Marller but I think its safe to cover that in the main Oh My Goddess! page. --Cool CatTalk|@ 00:32, 7 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
On a second thoutgh you are right. However the main article really needs attention :( --Cool CatTalk|@ 00:33, 7 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
That is one point I can completely agree with: it does need attention, but I believe it currently has the wrong attention --- the FAC comments seem to support by contention. Once I have finished going over the entire series again, I will be in a better position to make the main article what it needs to be. Elric of Grans 00:39, 7 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"Key Points" seems to be talking about Belldandy trying to bring about the situation due to the wish made between the two when young. Another point that can be added here is an interesting thing I found at Gateway to the Goddesses. http://gateway.cjb.net/AMG/Overanalysis/Overanalysis.htm#IIA. If you freezeframe the very opening animation, its the Tarikihongan Temple in the little orb Bell is conjuring up! So she was waiting for Keiichi's call the whole time, it seems! (at least here in the OVA). Yanqui9 04:11, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
