Tubers, any special reasons why you moved this page to Ojo, Lagos State and supported that Ikwerre, Rivers State remain Ikwerre, Rivers. Stanleytux (talk) 12:27, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Stanleytux: The extra disambiguation is needed for Ojo because there is also a city called Lagos, which is, for now the primary topic of "Lagos". The "Lagos State" disambiguation is to indicate that Ojo is a town in "Lagos State" and not like a regular district in "Lagos", which would mean the city. For Rivers, there no town or city that shares the name "Rivers", so adding "State" is basically redundant.--Jamie Tubers (talk) 23:07, 26 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Tubers but if you also check it, Rivers does not lead to the state in Nigeria, rather it leads to River, just as Lagos leads to a city and not the state. So if we go by your reasoning by saying Ikwerre, Rivers, we just might be referring to a place in Rivers and not in Rivers State. Stanleytux (talk) 07:39, 27 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • But there can't be a place inside a river, can there? So the disambiguation works perfectly, because once people see "Ikwerre, Rivers" they know the "rivers" is definitely the state not water body. When people see "Ojo, Lagos", it is still ambiguous, as a place can exist within Lagos city, as well as the larger state, outside Lagos. I think you should read more on WP:DAB, to see how it works.--Jamie Tubers (talk) 14:30, 27 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
