Notability?[edit]

Seems to fail WP:MILL.

It's not. It's one of the oldest and most famous restaurants in the Monterey Peninsula. If it was run of the mill, I wouldn't write the article or risk it being deleted by wasting my time to write it. We'd be deleting a lot of content if run of the mill was used as a policy. What you say may be true, but I am unable to discern which of the references on the article actually states that. For instance, this restaurant is just one of the top ten listed in one of the refs given. Surely to be notable it would have to do better than that. Furthermore, the refs are predominantly in sites that list all or most restaurants in an area, so that cannot establish notability. I appreciate that you put a lot of work into listing restaurants, but I am concerned as to how this content increases Wikipedia's value as an encyclopedia.
I would also respectfully point out that you have acted as judge, jury and executioner by deleting the 2 tags on the article.
