Synonym for ssp. macrocarpa[edit]

Not sure how to handle this, but this name is apparently a synonym for Olea capensis ssp. macrocarpa, which is one of the subspecies listed on Olea capensis. I don't know much about tree naming (or why we keep so many synonyms), but it seems like macrocarpa is the preferred name. Even the 2nd reference for this article describes hochstetteri as a synonym and pretty clearly prefers macrocarpa.

I think this is important because when someone mentioned hochstetteri to me, I found this article and thought it was a separate subspecies. I had a confusing few minutes Googling around.

If macrocarpa is in fact the preferred name, it should be the title of this article. However, I'm not even sure this should be a separate article. Maybe it should be merged with Olea capensis. Like I said, I don't know the best way to address it.

Other references, perhaps not authoritative, but illustrative:

http://www.prota4u.org/protav8.asp?p=Olea+capensis (According to this page, under "Other botanical information", guineensis is another synonym for the subspecies.)
