"Hand of the Kremlin" in the Supreme Council of Ukraine. A Traitor To Ukraine"

[edit]

Removed today an edit in which was claimed Tsarev is a "Hand of the Kremlin" in the Supreme Council of Ukraine. A Traitor To Ukraine". But at some point the article should include why somebody got that idea. — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 19:33, 13 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Surname

[edit]

His surname is Царьов - Tsarov. His official Facebook, Twitter, and official site itself calls him Tsarov. The alternative is his surname in Russian (Царёв) which transliterates as Tsarev. Tsarev has the most google hits, Tsarov the second most....'Tsariov' is not used in English, and is a bad transliteration of the Russian ('ё' is not 'io') --Львівське (говорити) 18:39, 30 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The proper transliteration would be Tsaryov. Tsarov is 100 per cent not correct. --80.7.87.151 (talk) 17:32, 30 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Agree. He is not Tsarov (Царов). NickSt (talk) 08:57, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Oleg Tsarov

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Oleg Tsarov's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named ":0":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 16:30, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It would be helpful if under "External Links" you would add links to the equivalent 'Tsarov' articles in the Russian and Ukrainian Wikipedias. Спасибо. K. Kellogg-Smith (talk) 13:28, 28 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not done The corresponding links are in the left-hand menu. If anyone wishes to read the Ukrainian or Russian Wikipedia entries, they have immediate access from there. I don't see how this would be beneficial to the English Wikipedia article, and am not aware of such 'external' links being introduced to articles of a similar calibre elsewhere in Wikipedia. --Iryna Harpy (talk) 23:40, 28 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I think the request is related to "References" that appear on the bottom of the wiki webpage. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.17.208.143 (talk) 15:59, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, thank you for the clarification as you've understood it. This being the case, the best I could do is to add an expansion tag for both Russian and Ukrainian Wikipedia at the top of the page (that is, the "can be expanded from" template). In themselves, such templates being used for this article are problematic in that, firstly, Wikipedia is not a reliable source (which most certainly applies to inter-wiki articles), and that reliable sources for Russian Wikipedia and Ukrainian Wikipedia do not necessarily reflect the English Wikipedia policy for the same. Rather than being of assistance, such interwiki suggestions are going to be POV hindrances instead of assisting the article. We already have quite a number of multilingual editors working on this article. Speaking from personal experience with this specific article, the Russian and Ukrainian articles offer no reliable additions. Conversely, indeed they only muddy the waters further. --Iryna Harpy (talk) 07:01, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
