Speedy delete notice[edit]

This seems to be a real biological term. Give me a minute and I'll see if I can dip up something. CrypticBacon 09:27, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Actually that's right, I removed both tags. But it needs to be rewritten, or maybe just be a redirect for the time being? - Eagleamn 09:30, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, now I'm starting to think it should be deleted. This is nothing more than a dictionary definition. It should be redirected to olfaction, based on the root word of the title. CrypticBacon 09:33, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How about we settle on a 'proposed delete' tag? CrypticBacon 09:37, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Go ahead! - Eagleamn 09:38, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

small, oval area at the base of the cerebral hemisphere, between the diverging medial and lateral olfactory striae, in the anteromedial part of the anterior perforated substance; it is formed by a small area of allocortex characterised by the presence of the islands of Calleja. Corresponding to a much more prominent structure in nonprimate mammals (especially rodents and insectivores), the olfactory tubercle receives fibres from the olfactory bulb by way of the intermediate olfactory stria; it has efferent connections with the hypothalamus and the mediodorsal nucleus of the thalamus —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kamran rana (talkcontribs)

Looked pretty suspicious to me, but couldn't catch the source. I think a redirect would be the best thing to do here, at least until enough info is added to the main article to be split. - Eagleamn 09:54, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'll do it. CrypticBacon 10:14, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
