Hebrew

[edit]

Hi, shouldn't there be a Hebrew-language version of this article? Or do we have one already and it's not linked? Thanks, Horst-schlaemma (talk) 21:16, 16 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ja de Schlemma Horsti, alte wurschthaut! Woast, da Israeli an sich hot net so fui artikl und nennt des zoagl ekliptikstreiterei, i hans jetzt zumindest moi agmerkt in onsara lede. I han des jetzt in Wikidata einzfiga vasuacht, aba kriag hia blos a fehlameldung. Serten (talk) 00:38, 17 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Important note: Do not link this article to the Heberew article of הקרב על המילקי (battle for milky/ecliptic). The Heberw article is about a TV commercial ad called הקרב על המילקי advertising the "Milki" product during the late 80s, which was such apopular ad that now days people also named the protess of the Israelis in Berlin after the "הקרב על המילקי" in reference to that popular TV ad... - (In order to watch the video of the TV commercial הקרב על המילקי see here) --Midrashah (talk) 21:13, 18 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Cefix! :) -- Horst-schlaemma (talk) 23:13, 19 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Da berliner im himmi, luja! , Horsti ma sott den Brandner Kasper übasetzen, zweng dem Preissnhimmi-Bote daselbst. Midrashah, have you told the heWP about the need to increase their articles? We been discussing heavenly messengers in Bavarian. Serten (talk) 23:46, 19 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'm waiting for you to leave a message. I was the one who started the הקרב על המילקי article, and even this was doubted so... -- (talk) 20:12, 20 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Done so. Serten (talk) 20:33, 20 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

guy's name

[edit]
Hi, i'm from the heWP :). meanwhile the guy who started the facebook page "Olim le Berlin" was exposed, so i think it should be in the article also. see here http://news.nana10.co.il/Article/?ArticleID=1087025. אדם מה (talk) 21:09, 20 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Even worse, I am from Olim le Karlsruhe ;) The 'pudding man's name may be in the press but were a little shy to name it. WP:BLP applies even though. Have you used anything from our stuff to sort out / increase the heWP entries? Serten (talk) 00:03, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
well i'm not the owner of the heWP, and it's more difficult to make changes there because the editors aren't so distributed as in the enWP. now there is just one sentence about it in the milky article, but i think it can be expanded On the basis this of article. אדם מה (talk) 08:57, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup tag

[edit]

The page is written in a rambling fashion and needs a copyedit to meet Wikipedia standards. Too many issues are being bandied about – the Milky upload, the cottage cheese and housing protests, Israeli emigration, Germany's Jewish population, Berlin safety – without being put in logical context for the reader. The lead does not summarize the scope of the article at all. I suggest starting off with a Background section describing Milky pudding, the cottage cheese and housing protests, and yerida, and then launching into the history of the Battle of the Milky. Narrow your scope as well; the last paragraph under Emigration taboo seems to go off on an entirely new tangent. Walk the reader through the discussion, as many readers will not be familiar with Israeli politics or commercialism. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 16:44, 20 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You did a good work, thnx Yoninah, but I think you went to far to delete the Jerusalem of gold parody and the old convenant allusion. That said, nice holidays ;) Serten II (talk) 06:26, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I did not find any source that connected the Facebook page with the Jerusalem of Gold parody. Mentioning it seemed to be OR. What is "the old convenant allusion"? Yoninah (talk) 09:37, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It would have been nice ;) the one with job and the husband yearnning for support. Serten II (talk) 10:31, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Screenshot?

[edit]

Is a screenshot of the Facebook page still available? I think its inclusion, perhaps as the lead image, would meet our fair-use criteria. I certainly felt that being able to see what it looks like would help my appreciation of the subject a bit better than the puddings do (though of course, as a free image, that image could and should remain in the article).

CTTOI, a picture of the German puddings would also be helpful. Daniel Case (talk) 18:01, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What is the point in this page?

[edit]

Why has this got its own wiki page? It was a facebook group that got some media reaction and then fizzled out after about a month lmao 188.30.31.43 (talk) 07:26, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This subject is notable according to Wikipedia standards due to the abundance of publicity it received from reliable sources. Please read WP:EVENT. Yoninah (talk) 09:36, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
