Semi-protected edit request on 4 July 2021: Clean up references - Its the same individual and legal name, name on birth certificate, driving licence etc... Repetition is misleading. -[edit]

Edit at 13:00, 3 Dec 2011. Remove unreferenced content.

References 7, 12, and 13 do not confirm the cast and production details.

References 7, 10, 12, and 14 deprecated and need deleted.

Revert edit at 13:00, 4 Dec 2011 to edit at 03:01, 4 Dec 2011 and delete unreferenced content.

References 1 iii, 11, 12, 19, 20, 21, 22 deprecated and need deleted.

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. I didn't even make it past the first line, because Reference 7 isn't being used for cast or production details. Thus, I question why we're worried about references from (apparently) 2011. RD request[edit]

The following was sent to arbcom-l@lists.wikimedia.org, and en-wp@wikimedia.org on the 25th/10/2022. Please allow time for consensus to be reached with oversight before declining the request.

  • I am requesting RevisionDeletion to change the oldest publicly accessible history page of the article Oliver Emanuel from:

13:00, 3 December 2011‎ Jim Craigie talk contribs‎ 8,460 bytes +8,460‎ Initial draft — work in progress thank (X)

To

20:33, 8 October 2017‎ 86.134.191.130 talk‎ 16,897 bytes −319‎ No edit summary Tags: Visual edit Mobile edit Mobile web edit references removed (Y)

  • RevisionDeletion of the first 43 edits suppresses them from public view but does not delete them entirely.

More clean up work may be required to complete this and the RevisionDelete of many later edits for copyright infringement. The synopsis and cast lists are not referenced and/or copied (mostly from the BBC).

Hopefully the find addition/removal tool will also be fixed - “Performed enough retries, article history is quite messed up”.

Below is a data erasure form in support of my request.

Hello Wikipedia,

Subject erasure request

My name is Private and I hereby request to erase all personal data that you hold about me.

Please send me an email confirmation of the complete and permanent erasure of the personal data once you have completed the erasure process.

Thank you in advance.

Yours sincerely,

Not done; a name's existence on a project is not an RD-able instance. If you are who I think you are, you have been asking the OSers and Legal to RD this page since 2017, and I'm pretty sure we've all told you no. Nothing has changed. Primefac (talk) 09:49, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I think you have me confused with someone else - Sam Heughan perhaps ?
Who do you think I am ?
Murder, cancer, genetic changes, attempted suicide, and immediate risk of serious injury or death are RD-able, NO?
Continued and coordinated zero compliance is beginning to look like a personal vendetta against me as my request is uncontentious.
care to explain? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.129.219.206 (talk) 10:08, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Your response here makes zero sense. So let's start over. What is this personal information that the article contains, that you want to remove so badly? You want to remove everything up to 8 Oct 2017, but the next edit in the history does nothing more than remove his father's name (who has an article himself, by the way). So what is in those previous revisions that is removable? Primefac (talk) 10:18, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed Deletion[edit]

The proposed deletion template is posted on the talk page because the article has been protected to prevent constructive editing.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.147.111.158 (talkcontribs) 18:14, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request to complete AfD nomination[edit]

Oliver Emanuel has been listed at Articles for deletion (nomination), but it was protected, so it could not be tagged. Please add:

<noinclude>{{subst:afd|help=off}}</noinclude>

to the top of the page to complete the nomination. Thank you. Zeus 656 (talk) 18:48, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: We don't accept AFD requests from sock puppets. Never mind the fact that your rationale is nonsense. Primefac (talk) 19:04, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
"I believe this article should be speedy deleted per G12 due to persistent vandalism preventing constructive editors from contributing. The page has multiple issues and has not been constructively edited since 2019. Almost the entire article history is revdeleted for unambiguous copyright infringement, and the talk page is a rant at wikipedia not relevant to the article. I therefore nominate the article Oliver Emanuel for G12 deletion, unambiguous copyright infringement, as evidenced by the revdeletion of almost all constructive edits before 2019 when vandalism began."
Your words not mine. 81.158.213.72 (talk) 19:34, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Says G12 "where there is no free-content material on the page worth saving". Since the last revdeleted edit (15 January 2021 by my reckoning), there has been plenty of construcitve development, and that's not the only reason that what remains is plenty of reliably sourced content. signed, Willondon (talk) 19:49, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
A sockpuppets articles and edits are deleted regardless of merit and the same applies to articles that infringe copyright when created, and do not follow the approved publishing pathway, but are "moved" to article space to avoid scrutiny of copyright issues, as with Oliver Emanuel.
Why has the copyright infringing author not been blocked from editing? Most if not all of the vandalism is to remove his copyright infringing "work", the article. Hercules 765 (talk) 21:04, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Tributes paid to playwright Oliver Emanuel. Why is this article not editable? Counterfeit Purses (talk) 20:57, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There has been over the years a lot of vandalism and disruptive editing, to the point where we needed to protect the article. Reasonable edit requests (such as this one) are more than welcome; adding an {{EPER}} to a request will likely expedite any proposed changes (we just need RS to implement).
