Victor Hugo, in Notre Dame de Paris, asserts that his real name was Olivier le Mauvais. Anyone know whether this might be so, or if it is a fabrication of Hugo's? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.208.120.38 (talk) 23:28, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Er, it is a novel! "le Mauvais" means "the bad", so it might be meant as a nickname. He is only called Le Daim in the historical sources I've seen. This is mentioned in the article anyway. Johnbod (talk)
