Size
Is it just me, or does anyone else find the size of this article a bit ridiculous for a mid-sized city? This article is 124 kb; making it bigger than the San Francisco article and only about 10k smaller than the New York City article. Its good that this is a comprehensive article, but I think for the readers' sake, you guys should trim this article down and put more information in the side-articles. Just the 2 cents of a passerby... Anon134 (talk) 00:52, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
- Too bad the San Francisco article is so non-comprehensive. This article is rated as a Good Article, and in 2 peer reviews and 2 featured article reviews the length has never come up. That makes it a non-issue to me. • Freechild'sup? 06:34, 24 January 2009 (UTC).
- I don't find the length of the article a problem. The fact that Omaha is a mid-sized city is irrelevant as long as the substance of the article is of merit. Revans1953 (talk) 02:08, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
- Omaha is not the average mid-sized city. This seems to be a solid view of many dimensions of this city.MagneticGuy (talk) 01:27, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
- I think the introduction should be improved. It contains way too much details. For instance, paragraph 4 "Omaha is the home to the headquarters of five Fortune 500 companies...." "Omaha is also the home to five Fortune 1000 headquarter", is it really necessary to list all the companies? If reader wants to know which companies, he/she can just read the relevant section, there is no need for those details to be inside introduction. The same goes to paragraph 6 for inventions.Wasill37 (talk) 08:30, 2 October 2014 (UTC)

Add Ford Mention?
In the list of notable things regarding Omaha in the top section of the article, I would recommend mentioning that it is the birthplace of 38th US President Gerald Ford.PerhapsXarb (talk) 03:00, 1 June 2018 (UTC)
Rewriting the Lede
Hi all,
The lede for this page looks rather horrendous. The information in the third paragraph should primarily be under the "Economy/Top Employers" section, and be shortened to one/two sentences max. In addition, I have never seen another major US city page have so many "notable inventions" in the lede either. I'm not entirely sure where to put that information - perhaps under culture?

Race relations
This section needs a thorough re-write. How does "racial profiling" (incidentally a more modern concept) result in one person being identified! Profiling would perhaps identify a group, but this crime seems not to have even allowed that. Gonzalez may have been unarmed when he fled - that doesn't mean he wasnt' armed at the time of the crime. If blacks were unable to vote for a period of five years in the 1960's (unlikely), is this best described as a period of obscurity!
