Contradictions[edit]

This article contradicts itself.

Recorded April 1990 at Smart Studios, Madison, Wisconsin
It was first recorded in the studio on January 1, 1991

Released May/June 1991 at Sound City, Van Nuys and Devonshire, North Hollywood
It was released as a promo single in the summer of 1992

The Composition Part[edit]

This is not correct. Whoever typed that, has it confused with the Unplugged version which used a drop-d tuning. The original recording on nevermind is played with standard tuning (concert pitch). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.234.170.122 (talk) 05:33, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

p.s. Also, not only is the unpplugged version drop-d but you also drop the d AFTER you drop the whole thing down half a step. So the D actually becomes a C. Just fyi.

Meaning[edit]

Did Kurt ever comment on the song's meaning. I've always read it as a subtle celebration of masturbation ('love myself better than you, know it's wrong, what should I do?' and 'the finest day that I've ever had was when I learned to cry on demand') but is there anything more concrete on this?--MartinUK (talk) 21:41, 26 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
