Prose
  • In the years after the fire One Meridian Plaza sat vacant and burned across the street from Philadelphia City Hall in the middle of the city. -- burned across the street? what does this mean?
  • One Meridian Plaza is the sixth tallest destroyed building in the world. -- took me twice to read this properly. Consider using the third tallest at time of demolition to avoid the article becoming dated.
  • At the time of construction, sprinklers were only built on the service levels below ground. -- fixed.
  • the helicopter spotted a broken window on the 28th floor located in an area that couldn't -- couldn't -> could not -- fixed.
Overall

Outside of the two minor items needing clarification/comment above, this article meets the good article criteria. If you have any questions or concerns about this review, let me know. I will be watching this page, so if you have any comments this is the best place to communicate. Thanks, -Mitico (talk, contribs) 18:35, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • I suggest that the sculpture Triune, by Robert Engman be mentioned in the article. This sculpture was placed there in 1975, and is still there, and has a placque on the south side saying
“Triune by Robert M. Engman Dedicated to the people of our community. Girard Bank and The Fidelity Mutual Life Insurance Company March 26, 1975”
Here is a picture of it: http://www.philart.net/images/large/triune.jpg
As you may know, the city requires 1% to be spent on public art for buildings constructed in the city. --DThomsen8 (talk) 23:53, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
