This article is about completely the wrong thing. The Oort limit has nothing to do with the physical dimensions of the Oort cloud. (Both the Oort cloud and the Oort limit are topics in astrophysics named after Jan Oort, but they are otherwise unrelated.) The Oort limit is a way of measuring the mass density of the Milky Way galactic disk by measuring the distributions of positions and relatively speeds of stars in our local neighborhood of the galaxy.
