development / too close paraphrasing

[edit]

The article was created by editor User:Clhartley who only ever edited on one day in 2015, only on this article. This is apparently Carola Lillie Hartley who has posted at https://www.facebook.com/groups/opelousastales/, including posting of some photos that were included what was sent off in the NRHP application. It was surely in good faith, but to my taste the wording in the article is too closely paraphrased with the NRHP document. It is okay for an author to write similarly in two places (they're copying themself it is not taking credit away from someone else). I see the NRHP document was written with assistance of CAROLA ANN ANDREPONT, perhaps the same person or related.

Anyhow, I am editing the article to improve it in some independent ways and will edit it also to remove too close paraphrasing. It is marked "under construction"; this will take me a few days. --Doncram (talk) 08:39, 15 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Actually I may try to contact them for help, esp. if I cannot otherwise find the St. Landry Clarion article(s) which are quoted from, without full identification of the article, date, etc. --Doncram (talk) 08:44, 15 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
