inaccurate description: "practically atonal with not a pop melody in sight"[edit]

I get that this appears to have been said in an established publication (the Record Mirror), but it's pretty inaccurate as a description of the song.

"Practically atonal" is an objective assessment and it is patently wrong; what constitutes a "pop melody" could be up for debate, but the song's chorus has a pretty conventional vocal line. I want to give the reviewer the benefit of the doubt, but the source link seems to be deprecated so I can't see what the original context was.

As it is, it's an objectively inaccurate way to describe the song and I think we should remove it Andyjda (talk) 15:49, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@SpaceHelmetX1 can you explain why you reverted this change?
Just want to make sure I understand what would be the best way to go about this following best practices/wikipedia policy.
I've made my case above, and most importantly I want to point out that the source for the "practically atonal" comment is not available (at least I haven't been able to find it).
Why is it better to keep an unsourced description in the article than to remove it? Andyjda (talk) 17:22, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
