Info on the Plot needed on this article
There needs to be a plot section in the article, and due to the website, the plot could be this
"Boog is a domestic bear living with Park Ranger Beth, who raised the bear, in Timberline. Timberline's bully is the uber hunter Shaw, who one day has Elliott straped to the front of his truck. Boog rescues him and that night, Elliott plans to break him out. The animals get into the forest and later become lost as Beth searches for the bear, as open season starts to arrive, Boog and Elliott must forget their differences and bond with all the forest animals to team up against Shaw, this includes Ian the Military Deer, Reilly the constructionist beaver, panicky rabbits, hot tempered skunks, McSquizzy and his nut throwing squirell gang, a porcupine, and phsycotic ducks to force the hunter out."
This is the plot and I got this from the film's official website. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 4.245.200.128 (talk • contribs) .
( I apologize if this is in the wrong place. ) "Grey squirrels are indigenous to North America, so the Scottish accent portrayed by all of the squirrels is an anomaly. " Is this quote from the page really nessicary. Squirells do not speak with an accent, this is assanine.
- The above is another sickening example of a wikipedia editor clucking their dissatisfaction, and ruffling their tail feathers over humour which IS allowed in wikipedia. --84.70.216.224 21:28, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
WHAT A GREAT PLOT
I'm struck by the novelty of its premise: wisecracking animals turn the tables on human hunters. If the boys at Warner Bros. had only come up with some idea that clever back in 1940, they might have made a success out of Bunky Bunny, or whatever that silly hare's name was. They may even have had better luck with that other character, Dumas Duck or something like that. What was the name of the hunter again? Mr. Dud? {Merely attempts at humor} Seriously, don't you think there's too much of a correlation between the film and the classic cartoons of the 40's and 50's? 156.110.47.73 21:12, 5 December 2006 (UTC)JS
That wasn't funny. And you're probably one of the only people who saw a similarity.
- You can't be saying this film is actually good, though, can you? --84.70.216.224 21:27, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
Though the movie wasn't that great it was aimed at a younger generation. All the kid show's now are corrupt, look at the telytubbies for example, all of them turned out to be bisexual and rien and steinpy Ok do i need to go any further.... AEM
- That was even more unnecessary than my earlier posting above. Ren & Stimpy is more scatalogical humor than gross-out humor, and Tellytubbies (?) ... well, never mind. (You are correct, however, about Ren and Stimpy, because in the Ren & Stimpy Party Cartoon, the two actually have anal sex... I know, WHAT THE HECK!!!) --- JS,156.110.47.73 20:06, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
What I am trying to say is that we are feeding the children of our minds that its okay to be gay, but you know what IT"S NOT OKAY. I Don't want to go to Into McDonalds with my kids one day and them to see two guys making out...AEM
- Okay...this is getting a little, er, odd... That previous posting was unnecessary and full of grammatical errors, AEM! I was simply confirming what you said about REN AND STIMPY. Wikipedia is not the place to have a debate about homosexuality, amigo, it's only about facts and veriability for the articles that we editors do our best to keep updated. --- JS , 156.110.47.73 20:13, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Inaccuracies
I'm removing the inaccuracies section, for the following reasons:
1) List may become too long. It doesn't stop at those few things; animals can't wage organized war against humans, can't speak English, deers can't stick their head in gumball machines, etc.
2) Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. Just because it's true that these are inaccurate, doesn't mean they deserve to be mentioned on Wikipedia.
3) Bugs Bunny's article, or any other Looney Tunes character article for that matter, doesn't have a pointless list of inaccuracies on how animals can't walk upright, speak English, etc. If someone were to try and attempt this, it would get reverted almost immediately.
4) It's a computer animated cartoon! Obviously it has inaccuracies! No need to list them one by one.
Any objections should be stated here BEFORE reverting my change. SuperDT 23:42, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
For one thing, all the "inaccuracies" you listed were OBVIOUS! No one doesn't know animals don't speak English! But not everyone is as good as separating fact from fiction like you. Some still think porcupines shoot quills and that brown bears are the biggest carnivores. Those should be listed, for we don't want people to take movies too literally. Anyways, looks at Ice Age, Ice Age 2, The Land Before Time, Finding Nemo, etc. They all have inaccuracies sections, so why shouldn't this one? Dora Nichov 01:47, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
- ... I stand corrected. SuperDT 02:57, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Copy protection
Anybody have any idea what the copy protection scheme is? Since it's a Sony film, I immediately assumed it was ARccOS, but from what I can tell it's different than the standard ARccOS scheme. According to the ARccOS article, Sony quit using ARccOS last February. But I'm wondering if this means they've just made a new and improved version of it. Maybe this discussion should go there, actually. --W0lfie 23:10, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
Wow.
Wow, I just got this as a random page. Hardly ever do get an article I've actually heard of at some point in my life... jj137 (Talk) 18:24, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Swear word
On the DVD of it, if you go to the menu screen (where it has PLAY, Chapter selections etc..) and leave it for a while, the characters go on talking. During this, i thought i heard one of the characters say "Fuck". I'm not sure whether its right or not.--Sha0000 09:17, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Open Season.jpg
Image:Open Season.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
