I just created the article. I got the things from the id.wikipedia article, this article, and politionele acties article. If you think anything is inappopriate (incl. the page name), feel free to change. Peace. --Nielswik(talk) 09:38, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

(1) why is this seperate to Politionele acties? I think it is because you don't like the name. See:[[1]]
(2) The title Dutch Military Aggression is just way too POV. It also only makes sense from an Indonesian POV.
(3) Actually, even apart from any POV, it is just a clumsy awkward title. It won't make sense as a title for a non-Indonesian.
Thus I propose this is either merged to Politionele acties or you move this page. --Merbabu 09:47, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hum, yes i agreed that the title are pretty inappropriate. This is one of two Politionele acties. I suggest, instead of merging this to that, Politionele acties should be splitted to two different article (this article, and the 1st one). They are two separate events. As an illustration, of course you won't merge WW I and WW II. Peace. --Nielswik(talk) 10:19, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding a merge to Indonesian National Revolution, i think that article has been too long, and we need to split it to some articles, like that was done to Battle of Surabaya. Peace. --Nielswik(talk) 10:27, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
lol - I am sorry but WW1 and WW2 is (to be polite) an "weak" comparison. Slightly different scale. But, at least you can see the problem with the title (actually, politionele acties is also poor) but i still think the two topics are better together. THey are closely related and even together they are no where near too long. I want to start transferring data but there are no references. I will work on i later. --Merbabu 10:27, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That illustration was exaggerated. but these two aggressions are different. The first one was at July-August 1947. then there is a ceasefire (Renville agreement). At December 1948 dutch said they were no longer bonded to that agreement and launch its second so-called "police action"s. Aren't they different to you? Peace. --Nielswik(talk) 10:39, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, of course they are different - but related. But, rather than split being based on difference, normally it is based on lenght - as an article gets long it might be split. The article (if combined) is no where near too long. As for the Revolution article, i don't think it is too long. Rather Surabaya was split off cos it was bigger than the other sections. Well, i will think about it. I won't change it - for now. :) --Merbabu 14:22, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Clean up required[edit]

Someone really needs to do a lot work on this article. The grammar and spelling is awful! I can't understand what its saying a lot of the time. Clean-up required! --Manxruler 23:45, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

I know quite a few references on this subject, but they are all in Dutch. Does the English version of Wikipedia allow for references in other languages? HJRO 22:46, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

English refs are of course preferred, but in lieu of others, non-English language refs can be used. See WP:RSUE. Please provide in-line references, rather than a list at the end. Thanks! --Merbabu 23:38, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can anyone clarify this?[edit]

Under Battle: First Attack:

"At 05:30, Maguwo airport and the radio station at military aircraft including Yogyakarta was bombed by the ML-KNIL."

Can anyone clarify this? The sentence seems to have been scrambled in editing. Heavenlyblue (talk) 18:25, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
