This article is in pretty good shape. I'm doing a light c/e then I'll go through the criteria. Cheers, Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 23:46, 26 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Done. The article prose is in good shape, it covers the main points, is stable, doesn't appear to include any OR, copyright violations or plagiarism, and the sources are properly formatted and reliable. However, the image licensing isn't ok on any of the photos except the one of Acheson. The rest use pma licenses, but don't state who the author was or when they died. Alternative images are therefore needed. Why not use images of the major US players such as Walter Bedell Smith and Allen Dulles? Placing on hold for the images to be sorted out. • Ah, image licensing has always been something that confuses the crap out of me. I'll find other images, possibly the alternatives you suggested. I do think that having an image of Arbenz is important, but if there's nothing available, I'll have to make do, I guess. Vanamonde (talk) 09:43, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Peacemaker67: Okay, I began my search for images, and I happened to check the Arbenz image that's in the article: and that does mention the author, so now I'm a little confused. It also carries a note at the bottom claiming to have been checked against copyright restrictions. Could you help me understand the issues a little better? Also, if there are still issues, what do you think of these alternatives: Arbenz, Trujillo & Somoza, Dulles and/or Smith? Vanamonde (talk) 10:03, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Sure. The Arbenz image says Cristina Vilanova (I assume she's the photographer), but doesn't say when she died. To rely on the 70 yr pma (post-mortem author) licence, we'd need to know when she died. I'll take a look at the linked images and let you know.
