Media Knowledge or Lack There of

[edit]

I'll have gander around the internet later today but the cold hard truth is the Media sources about this are just plain wrong. The article goes out of it's way to allow as how they might be right. However, an Air Assault in the US Army has nothing to do with fixed wing Aircraft, unless they are in a supporting role. Air Assualts like Airborne operations and Ground Assault Convoys are means of travel and/or insertion. I don't know how size or intensity in Air to Ground strikes would be characterized. My area of expertise is having been an Infantryman in the 101st and participating in the first two Iraq deployments. I intend to change the article to reflect the fact that media doubted the Army's claims based on the lack of fixed wing aircraft but that it is not a valid argument. I'd agree that the 05/06 one was smaller than the 03 one but I'll leave that out of the article as that's my pride talking.214.38.94.219 (talk) 10:03, 9 October 2012 (UTC) I wasn't signed in Outcast95 (talk) 10:49, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
