Article blanking

[edit]

Article was blanked then restored. Blanking was not discussed and insufficiently argued. History :

  • 2021-06-16T17:36:57‎ Yug 8,371 bytes +8,329‎  Revert blanking : Operations Claws started on 28 May 2019. All event before must be preserved somewhere. Please join discussion on the talkpage.
  • 2021-02-14T16:10:50‎ EmausBotm  42 bytes +7‎  Bot: Fixing double redirect to Operation Claw (2019–2020)
  • 2019-06-30T01:05:54‎ Lightspecs 35 bytes −8,336‎  "Tigris Shield" is fictional; there is no such operation. The strikes in 2018 were not part of a wider campaign and the current strikes are part of Claw

Please explain the blanking rational better. Sourced content describing events between March 10th 2018 and May 28th 2019 should be conserved if possible, in the suitable page.Yug (talk) 17:42, 16 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Yug: can't believe you're asking this. Because the "article" is a big wp or. Such operation doesn't exist. Beshogur (talk) 17:54, 16 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Possible erroneous name is one aspect of the page. Blanking of the sourced content is still not adequately argued. Content could suit alternative page(s). Yug (talk) 20:31, 16 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This is what I am also arguing. Move the content to a page you see as useful. But Tigris Shield is a no show for notability. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 20:47, 16 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If "Tigris Shield" is wrong title we must rise the issue, tag article page (warning templates for readers and contributors), and discuss those issues toward consensus to implement. Blanking sourced and non-libel materials before discussion and proper processing is unusual. Yug (talk) 14:31, 17 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have moved the relevant info of the article to Kurdish Turkish conflict see here for the diff. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 15:28, 17 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
