Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... it is an important organisation in the organisation of the UK ophthalmic industry articles about other organisations in the industry would be defective if it didn't exist --62.255.248.2 (talk) 16:19, 17 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because.it appears to be a significant player in the British eye care industry and represents thousands of staff. The threshold of significant is very modest. --Rathfelder (talk) 22:14, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined[edit]

Candidates for speedy deletion patroller --- Liz, I declined your speedy deletion request of this article with no prejudice against its deletion through WP:AfD if its notability is in doubt because A7 does not applies to articles with assertion of notability. Wikicology, this article has been substantially changed since when I put a CSD tag on it (diff). Still, most of its references are to Optometry Today, a website for the Association of Optometrists which is a member of the Optical Confederation and can be expected to say positive things about the group. There is no apparent relationship between A7 and promotional tone but a strong relationship exist between G11 and promotional tone. Articles with promotional tones are not eligible for A7. Regards! Wikigyt@lk to M£ 11:01, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
