Comments[edit]

Bjadter 13:46, 28 October 2006 (UTC) Regarding the number of meteors per hour: While I have no source to verify that, I have personally seen about 75 meteors over a one hour period at the peak of the Orionids, of which approximately 80% originated from the point indicated in the article.[reply]

Is it really necessary in the location section to have references to so many corporate entities? Perhaps if one wants to talk about the social media application of this you can put it in History. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.105.132.18 (talk) 15:20, 19 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Here[edit]

This is my first thing to really add to Wiki. It is my report on Orionid Meteor Showers, I thought the information already on here was limited.

Your welcome! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Trueheartless (talkcontribs) 16:45, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In my opinion this was far too waffley I am afraid - always think of articles how you would find them in a paper encyclopedia or dictionary - no need to describe what a meteor shower is in this case, use links instead. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.137.204.252 (talk) 19:33, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

2009[edit]

Added the date 2009 as the dates fluctuate from year to year. On following years, a chart can be added to the article similar to article Perseids. SriMesh | talk 05:42, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's not a real good idea to add material to the article that's specific to viewing for a particular year. --71.38.172.171 (talk) 02:44, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It would probably improve the the article by adding the Zenithal Hourly Rate for each year. -- Kheider (talk) 20:04, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Meteor shower and location[edit]

This section talks mostly about 2009, the UK, social networks, and more about 2009. --81.157.13.143 (talk) 02:38, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed this section really needs to more generic and/or updated. --68.199.142.57 (talk) 02:38, 8 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I have basically removed this section because it was way too 2009-centric and now quite dated. -- Kheider (talk) 18:57, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
