List of oroclines??

Should we allow this topic to become yet another "list of" page where any editor can add their local favorite? If any oroclines are to be mentioned as examples they should be major and prominent, such as the ones Carey discussed. If unlimited inclusion is to be allowed it will become a lengthy list, as there are quite a few oroclines. I think we should include only a few notable oroclines for purpose of illustration. Kind of agree with you. However the number of oroclines is not that high (or at least I think so) meaning that a three or two column list of names only would no occupy to much place in the article, thus avoiding its listification. I will split off specific orocline articles as soon as they have sufficient content to stand by their own. The Bolivian Orocline will be the first one. Dentren | ^Talk 14:53, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

Don't "think so", download Carey's paper and look. I don't know that any orocline warrants its own article, but if so, then we really should start with the major ones (which would include Bolivia). Which I mention because there really are a lot, down to regional scale. (I can think of three or four in just my tiny corner of one continent). What I would like to avoid is this article becoming the geological equivalent of Hairpin turn.
