Not a financial success?[edit]

There is a claim by Pauline Kael that the film was not financially successful. Its "failure" is also mentioned in the lead. Were 3 million dollars (on par with DeMille's The Ten Commandments from 1923) really considered unsuccessful? It is mentioned to be less successful than Broken Blossoms, which earned "only" 600 thousand dollars, five times less. StjepanHR (talk) 03:10, 23 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
