[edit]

I bumped up the rating on this species' importance. It is a valued apple and other spring fruit pollinator in Japan, and its use is increasing in North America

But it's hardly as important as , say the honey bee, which is also only mid-class. It may be that the ratings overall could do with tweaking, but changing just this one leaves a bit of an anomaly. I have changed it back to low-importance. --Stemonitis 10:36, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

self-contradictory sentence?

[edit]

"A single bee can visit up to 2,500 flowers a day and will spend 4–8 minutes per flower." (2nd sentence in Crop Pollination section)

I cannot access the reference to check it, do I get it wrong somehow? With a day having 1,440 minutes this doesn't seem to work. An awkward wording? HiOshino (talk) 01:40, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
