Use of Cite Q

[edit]

Thanks User:YoungForever for editing this page. I often use the Cite Q template to cite scientific papers directly from Wikidata https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Cite_Q. I do this because it helps link data about scientists, their papers, and their research between Wikipedia and Wikidata, and I want the reader to be able to click through to the Wikidata item for the paper. Cite Q also provides additional identifiers and links to the citation. However, you have removed the Wikidata links stating that "wiki is not a reliable source", and have removed the Cite Q template for some of my references, even though the citation provided multiple links and identifiers in the citation (including but not limited to the link to the Wikidata item). I could understand your reasoning if the Wikidata link was the only link provided, but these edits have actually resulted in the loss of information, because now there is only one link/identifier to the paper.
