There is something wrong with the dating on this article.

The building date is given as 1861, but of course the Wilberforce-Huxley evolution debate took place in the museum in 1860!

Worse yet, in one section we are told within a couple of lines that the debate itself occurred in both 1860 AND 1861.

The building was built between 1855 and 1860. It is likely that some finish work was continuing on the building when the Wilberforce-Huxley debate occurred, but it must have been sufficiently complete to house the debate. Henry Acland says at the beginning of his preface (dated June 15, 1860) to the second edition of The Oxford Museum (London: George Allen, 1893) that "The Oxford Museum slowly approaches completion." The Wilberforce-Huxley debate occurred on June 30, 1860. I have made corresponding changes to the article.71.171.31.38 (talk) 21:42, 4 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"Convocation" or "Congregation"[edit]

As far as I can determine, in the mid-19th century, the governing body of Oxford University was "Convocation." This article previously referred to the ruling body as "Congregation." Deliverance?[edit]

Regarding the 1860 evolution debate, this page says (without citation): 

  Wilberforce is purported to have turned to his neighbour, chemist Professor Brodie and exclaiming, "The Lord has delivered him into mine hands."

However, the page dedicated to the debates says (with two citations): 

  According to a letter written 30 years later to Francis Darwin, when Huxley heard this he whispered to Brodie, "The Lord hath delivered him into mine hands".
