Chinchilla intestines?

[edit]

According to https://journals.plos.org/plosgenetics/article?id=10.1371/journal.pgen.1011050 an oxymonad was found as a symbiont inside the intestines of a chinchilla, but currently according to the article they are only found in wood-eating insects.
