I think that this page is vital to the history of the band, putting it in with the rest of the small amount of recorded material is essential to uphold the totality of the band.....dmoeggen@indiana.edu

I have taken out the discography as I don't think one album is enough to warrant an entire new section, especially as it is mentioned (and wikified) in the main article. - MightyMoose22

Merging with Oysterhead Live[edit]

I disagree - they are written from completely different points of view. This page has general information like a bio page whereas the other has in-depth info for each track, more like an album page. I think it would break the flow of this page too much, unless you ditch half the content, which I don't see as a good thing. - MightyMoose22 09:48, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate that they have different focuses. However, I don't think that there's enough distinct information on either page to warrant two separate articles. Oysterhead live does not appear to be an album and nor is it a discrete incarnation of the band. It seems to be an entire article dedicated to only one performance, which I don't think is enough to justify a separate article.—thames 16:08, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, they should be merged into Oysterhead. The performance was significant because it was the reason that the band was created, but it was never released as an album and doesn't need its own page. --taestell 05:07, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Matterhorn[edit]

Canceled tour date[edit]

I worked at Toad's Place nightclub when the band was scheduled to perform in 2001. The show was canceled because band members were stranded due to the September 11 plane groundings. The venue's name is just Toad's Place without the word "The". Oysterhead's show would have been for Thursday September 13. John Valby played on Friday the 14 and used portions of the show for a videotape "Dr. Dirty O&A and T&A". The O&A stood for shock jocks Opie & Anthony. Although I don't have the tape in front of me, I remember it included the date on the back of the sleeve. Colonial Computer 20:35, 11 September 2021 (UTC)
