Spellings of the name: The person wrote his name in English as 'Elangasinha'. The only reference document that is written about him has this correct version of his name. Also note the direct decedents continue to use this correct form of spellings. The newspaper articles that refer to him but not written about him, have been ignorant about the correct spellings and have stuck to the assumed spellings of 'Illangasinghe' based on common practice in Sri Lanka.

@Ranilb5: Please read WP:V before you continue. Here in Wikipedia we only include content that can be supported by reliable sources. Most reliable sources, including all of those given in this article, spell the name "Illangasinghe". How you or his descendants spell the name is irrelevant.--Obi2canibe (talk) 16:16, 5 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
