Shipped out date of PC-8001[edit]

The exact shipped out date of the PC-8001 is currently unknown. NEC have said September 1979, but they have never provided its exact date. I have ever seen many Japanese literatures. Indeed some of them say it's on September 28, but there is no exact source. It is certain that it was announced on May 9, 1979, accorting to the reliable source (Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, May 10, 1979), and released on September 1979, according to NEC and some reliable sources. In the oldest literature, ASCII November 1979 issue, said NEC started selling the PC-8001, without its date. Darklanlan (talk) 02:04, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Kazuhiko Nishi[edit]

In the Kazuhiko Nishi article (and also the Wired reference) it states he helped persuade NEC to develop the PC-8001, and also he was Microsoft's agent in Japan hence the use of Microsoft BASIC in N-BASIC. John a s (talk) 20:56, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It is disputed how Nishi contributed to the development of PC-8001, but I've written it from the recent interview to developers of NEC. Darklanlan (talk) 04:01, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
