What theories and models[edit]

merging[edit]

Is there a particular reason the merging is talked about as though it has not yet occurred? Is "merging" supposed to be our perception/witnessing of the collision??? If we will see the effects of collision in 1 million years, wouldn't that mean the collision actually occurred 3.5 billion years ago? Am I missing something important? I must be... Clarity[edit]

This sentence seems unclear and you should consider rewording it. It's a run-on, and it may need more information on the survey conducted that resulted in its discovery: "As of 2015, it is one of the few black hole binaries known, and was found in a survey of quasar variability in a group of 20 candidates, and the best candidate known, better than the prior best, OJ 287."

You say that the black holes in the binary "are merging," and then you say "They are calculated to have merged 3.339 billion years ago...," which means you contradict yourself. Hmedina19 (talk) 07:38, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
