Notable? Accessible?[edit]

This article has no references that this is a notable topic for an encyclopedia. It is also a bit technical leaving the average reader to say "its for the who in the what now?" 75.196.135.202 (talk) 17:49, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:75.196.135.202 your primary assertion is disputed, though I'll wait to read opinions from other editors or administrators, before deleting the notability template. References cited are the usual ones for the modern amateur telescope making world. In particular reference 1 is from Sky and Telescope, one of the most respected amateur astronomy journals and reference 5 is from ATMsite.org one of the largest repositories of online ATM information. The Sky and Telescope article is not one I could find online so I moved Lewis's author link to clarify the fact the inline reference itself is a second party reference. Toshimi Taki is well known and respected in the field.Trilobitealive (talk) 03:10, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'll work on general readability, though I dispute the concept that articles should be written down for "the average reader" at the cost of utility for the reader who is looking for information. Simple English Wikipedia normally addresses such readability issues.Trilobitealive (talk) 03:10, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
