  • ... that SZA's label insisted to scrap one song from her second album, even though they used it to promote the album? Source: NME: "SZA has shared a sultry teaser video for 'PSA' as speculation about her second album release builds." HipHopDx: “Or whether it’s ‘PSA’ or ‘Potting Season,’ and he’s like, ‘Oh, that sounds too much like ‘Blind’ so you can’t have both of those on the album because they sound too much alike and people will get bored of hearing that.’ People are asking, ‘Where the fuck is ‘PSA’ on the album?'”

General: Article is new enough and long enough

Policy compliance:

Hook eligibility:

  • Cited: No - see below
  • Interesting: Yes
  • Other problems: No - see below

QPQ: No - not done
Overall: @Your Power: Article has been converted from a redirect and is long enough. Inline citations exist in the article and copyvio didn't flag anything. The length as well as the fact that SZA wrote the song from the infobox aren't sourced anywhere, however. Both hooks are interesting and meet the character limit, but I've noticed a minor issue with each: for ALT0, the article says it was the label president who insisted to scrap the song (HipHopDX also says SZA's "producer/engineer" insisted on scrapping it), not the label. As for ALT1, I'm not sure if calling it "scrapped" is appropriate as it was eventually included on another edition of the album. A QPQ needs to be provided as the nominator has 12 credits. @Sebbirrrr: Hi! Thank you for the review. I don't have the "PSA" digital download, and I'm not really sure where else I can find the credits, so I removed the songwriter parameter for now. Re. song duration, to cite these is not a hard requirement, plus it is usually assumed that such a thing would be cited to the song itself in the same way plot summaries are.
Now, for your concerns with ALT0, I am not entirely convinced the wording needs to be changed. Yes, not every single person ever associated with the label insisted to remove the track, no one is denying that, but striving to be "more accurate" in this regard feels like a nitpick and would unnecessarily pad the hook length IMO. It is extremely obvious that "label" here is being used in a synecdochical sense. ‍ ‍ Elias 🌊 ‍ 💬 "Will you call me?"

@Your Power: Thanks for your reply! Apologies if I sounded like I was nitpicking at both the duration/songwriter parameters and the hook, that was not my intention at all! Usually the duration and the songwriters are sourced in the body of the article but I understand the fact that you're unable to find the credits. For the hook, I get that it would go over the limit if we're being extremely specific so I now believe it makes sense to use "label" as to include everyone involved with it. Don't forget to do your QPQ! Sebbirrrr (talk) 16:34, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
@Sebbirrrr: hi! No worries. A little healthy disagreement never hurts. The QPQ has been done - let me know how this nomination stands now. ‍ ‍ Elias 🌊 ‍ 💬 "Will you call me?"

@Your Power: Thanks! All is good now, I also prefer ALT0! Sebbirrrr (talk) 17:25, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
